Dismantling the Big Bang reveals these scientific and philosophical weaknesses at the core of big-bang thinking and the contradictions to which they lead.

Written on a level that laypeople can understand, it comparatively shows the intellectual superiority of the history of the universe given in the Bible as a basis for our thinking about the cosmos.5/5(1). More an anthology than memoir, Disturbing the Universe has been most a enjoyable read.

Despite what the book description above states, this is most certainly not an autobiography, though there are biographical portions. Some chapters, essays, were written specifically for this book and some had been published previously in The New Yorker.

In a powerful new book, Dismantling the Big Bang: God’s Universe Rediscovered, 4 (DBB) Australian authors Alex Williams and Dr John Hartnett show us (in easy–to–read layman’s language) that the standard big bang models (there are several varieties) are simply not credible.

They do not enable us to explain the origin of galaxies, stars, or planets—which is astonishing, given that the very purpose of. Bang. is the first book you selected, subtitled “A Complete History of the Universe”. Please give us a précis. This book is a general overview of astronomy, and doesn’t go into detail about any one thing.

It basically takes the reader on a tour of the entire universe, and tells you everything you want to know. Dismantling the Big Bang: Williams, Alex, Hartnett, John: : Books. Buy New. $ List Price: $ Save: $ (34%) $ + $ shipping. Only 1 left in stock - order soon.

First Published April Under this theory the universe is eternal, without beginning or end.

I read this book several years ago but never reviewed it. After having just read Renard's second book I just had to review this one too. "The Disappearance of the Universe" was a very accessable summary of A Course in Miracles, which I was studying at the time. So I recommend it if you are having trouble understanding the basic teachings of ACIM/5.
